Compound Uganda is a consortium of 10 grassroot organizations namely. Birthed in 2009 as Youth Foundation Uganda then later changed to Compound Uganda to host the selected groups in different districts. we started out discipling and mentoring children and youth in the slum areas of Namatala and Malukhu and half london in Mbale. Most of our mentees were child war survivors that had come to Mbale from northern Uganda and Teso sub region for safety. Youth Foundation Uganda created a platform for mentor ship, skills development and belonging for the young people.
Today, Holistic self sustainability of individual, family, community and Nation is our goal.
We emphasis the importance of caring for and protecting the natural environment. We humans have a responsibility to support, preserve, and promote the well-being of the earth and its ecosystems, rather than exploiting or damaging them.
