Compound Uganda is a consortium of 10 grassroot organizations namely, Youth foundation Uganda and Kuukhu Protocol located in Mbale city, Alakara women’s group, Mayembe mixed farmers and savings group, Kojim B women’s group, Mayembe Akukuranut youth group, Christian women of west Budama found in Tororo District, Hope farmers group, Adagarida Farmers group and Orib Ging Group based in Amolatar District.
Birthed in 2009 as Youth Foundation Uganda then later changed to Compound Uganda to host the selected groups in different districts. we started out discipling and mentoring children and youth in the slum areas of Namatala and Malukhu and half london in Mbale. Most of our mentees were child war survivors that had come to Mbale from northern Uganda and Teso sub region for safety. Youth Foundation Uganda created a platform for mentor ship, skills development and belonging for the young people.
Today, Holistic self sustainability of individual, family, community and Nation is our gaol as we operate in the districts of Amolatar, Wakiso, Tororo and the Elgon region. Through our Youth Foundation, Eco Sustainability queens and wellness programs, we can directly and indirectly impact the lives of women, children, youth and the elderly who are equipped and empowered to create positive change continuously.

To maintain the health and resilience of ecosystems, ensuring the long-term well-being of both humans and the planet by preserving heritage, conserving natural resources and protecting biodiversity.
Strategic goal: Strengthening resilience for climate action by building the capacity of communities and ecosystems to withstand and adapt to the impacts of climate change, through collaborative efforts across sectors and levels of government, focusing on adaptation and mitigation measures.

Where we work: Mbale, Tororo, Amolatar, Wakiso and indigenous peoples at threat of marginalization even extinction. (Batwa, Benet and the Karamojong pastoralists and the Ik)
